Georgia Aquarium Day Trip

It’s terribly shameful that I’m just now getting around to blogging about the events of 2012. With Thanksgiving a week away, I realized the year is practically over. It would be rather trashy to post pictures of Summer 2012 in Winter of 2013, so I’m attempting to get caught up with a little blog postage.

Channing came out to visit while I was still living in Atlanta. We bought into one of those touristy CityPass deals and did the standard Atlanta traps.  Tourist traps are really right up our alley, and we revel wildly in amazement with cheap entertainment.

One of those traps was the Georgia Aquarium. Across from Olympic Park near downtown Atlanta, it doesn’t look that large on the outside, but was pretty stunning on the inside. In addition to the expected massive tanks of swarming fish, we also got tickets to see a dolphin musical. It was a fanfare-of-a-watershow with circus-like dolphin tricks, blasts of fire and toothy wannabe broadway stars, complete with audience singing songs of hope and change to encourage the dolphins to overcome an evil-haunted pirate ship.  Again, right up our alley.

I will narrate the pictures below, but understandably, most of them are just fish.
