The Medieval Town of Rye

Back in May we took a quick train ride out of London and headed to the small town of Rye in East Sussex. Rye finds itself on lots of the ‘day trips from London’ lists that live all over the internet. Rightfully so. It’s a beautiful little town with beautiful architecture. Ancient connections to medieval kings as an important harbor and trading port means it’s steeped in history.  The Mermaid Inn dates back to 1156, alone.
